Our studio in downtown Tupelo looks a lot different than it did when the firm was founded fifty-tow years ago, but our mission is the same: being idea generators, good communicators, and creative solutionist in a complex process. architectureSOUTH is in its third generation of leaders and our team remains focused on maintaining a tradition of excellence while building a portfolio that we and our clients are proud of.

 

Ten years ago, as a hobby of sorts, Linda Smith and Scott Emison offered to do some private, pro-bono, and residential projects outside of the envelope of the commercial-based walls of architectureSOUTH. This work fueled a passion of creativity and opportunity, and in 2019, they officially rebranded that growing business as a dual platform offering under the name of Prairie South Design Co. This journey has yielded projects internationally, as well as custom homes and private work across the State of Mississippi.
